In 2016 we were introduced to Ed Hollands – a student at the University of Derby and an ambitious individual with a great idea. Our goal was to help him develop his business’ marketing strategy into something that would reflect the potential of the company, as well as inform and inspire a wide range of stakeholders. We first discussed with Ed his goals for the future direction of the business before strategising a plan that would help him attain these. At this point in time, Ed was trading under the name of ‘The AdMan’ and was simply expecting a new logo.
We first recommended ‘The AdMan’ brand was renamed to ‘DrivenMedia’, which more accurately reflects the business idea as well as the passion, drive and huge potential of the company. We subsequently introduced a bold, strong typeface and a vibrant colour to reflect the ‘no-frills’ nature of the business.
To reinforce this new branding we produced pull-up banners, business cards, livery and a presentation folder, all of which were designed with the future of the business in mind and incorporated the ‘where advertising goes further’ strapline. Finally, we supplied a variety of collateral to assist the company with promotion at future exhibitions.
The team listened to my idea to advertise on the side of commercial vehicles then set about developing what I thought was no more than a new logo for AdMan. How wrong I was. What resulted was the kick-ass brand and name ‘DrivenMedia’ together with a powerful logo, image and marketing material.

Before our first meeting, Ed expected us to simply design and deliver a new logo, however, he was delighted by the ‘kick-ass’ brand that we managed to produce.
Since the rebrand, Ed Hollands appeared on an episode of Dragons’ Den and managed to walk away with a £30,000 investment from Jenny Campbell! We are absolutely delighted by the success of DrivenMedia and hope that the business continues to grow in the future.
